This is the third vintage of Long Meadow Ranch Sauvignon Blanc and it continues to offer rich and complex aromas. In the mouth the wine is generous and round.
"Classy, well-balanced...with honeydew melon and tropical fruits...pair with grilled seafood, goat chees, or roast chicken...or heirloom tomatoes drizzled with Prato Lungo" - Chris Shephard, Brennan's Restaurant, Houston
"Excellent Sauvignon Blanc: round, full bodied, finely flavored (apple, lime, melon, grapefruit), and well balanced." **** (Four Stars) - Ronn Wiegand, Master Sommelier, Master of Wine, Restaurant Wine Newsletter
WINEMAKER'S TASING NOTES
2007 LONG MEADOW RANCH SAUVIGNON BLANC "This inviting wine was bottled before the New Year offering fresh, fragrant notes with a brilliant straw color. The classic Sauvignon Blanc fruit aromas include kiwi, pear and Meyer lemon peel. Layers of complexity are created by floral tones (citrus blossom and jasmine) which combine to create a fresh herbaceous nose. The softness, moderately low alcohol and balanced acidity are perfect for showing off the distinctive flavors of Rutherford Sauvignon Blanc. In the mouth the wine is generous and round - and it leaves the palate perfectly refreshed." - Ashley Heisey, Winemaker |
